It all started when I was 4 and declared I wanted to be a cowgirl when I grew up. When mom made baked beans I wasn’t sure about eating them (probably because they were messy) but mom insisted they were Cowgirl Beans, and all cowgirls who sat around campfires at the end of a work day ate them. That sealed the deal as I am easily convinced and a rule follower (except when it comes to recipes).
This blog is a collection of recipes following my migration from meatasaurus to vegetarian to an occasional fish-eating flexitarian. I stress local, fresh, whole foods and strive to make our diets as healthy and natural as possible. I love a good challenge, and am passionate about making food that tastes good – so if you have a favorite that needs healthy revamping please let me know.
